Our technology is capable of generating algae mutants which can produce novel fatty acids or increase existing fatty acids in algae and microalgae in large scale. Our technology can be used in a variety of applications where the fatty acids/oil of algae needs to be increased. In addition to biofuel, the novel oil/fatty acids could be used as ingredients for consumer goods such as pharmaceuticals, functional foods, drugs, and/or in industrial products. The algae mutant strains are able to be grown in large amount in mass algae production facility/algae growth tank. Our technology is economically viable as we can generate and maintain the mutant algae strains, but we can outsource the algae growth and oil production to a third party or sell our algae strains/R&D services to large industrial corporations. We can work as the upstream R&D algae biotech company.
